Expanding 4-graders’ vocabularyin teaching spelling, reading subject at Ca Mau city primary schools via cross-subject integration

Abstract
Cross-subject integration teaching has been encouraged in K-12 education. However, in teaching the Vietnamese subject at primary school, many teachers are still faced with difficulties applying methods, techniques and procedues in cross-subject integration. The paper presents the current situation and how to expand 4-graders’ vocabulary in teaching Spelling, Reading subject via cross-subject integration, as such to improve the quality of Vietnamese language instruction at primary schools in Ca Mau City.
