Abstract

On requirements of the general education curriculum and analyzing professional characteristics of primary school teachers, the paper outlines teaching competence manifestations, identifying a set of their teaching sub-competencies required, as well as developing this competence among primary education students in the face of the need to renovate the general education curriculum.
