Developing primary teachers' assessment capacityin assessing students' Vietnamese languagelearning outcomes based onthe competency approach

Abstract
On investigating primary school teachers’ assessment capacity, the article highlights the their strengths and weaknesses in this capacity, and thereby proposes measures for improvement among them such as: elevate awareness of science assessment; provide workshops, conferences on primary learning assessment after each period of study; characterizeVietnamese language teaching through learning situations.
