Developing the teacher-training tradition to realize radical, comprehensive renovation in education and training

Abstract
Dong Thap University has 40 years of tradition and experience in teacher-training. However, shortcomings in the training tasks have arisen over recent years. To obtain the objectives of radical, comprehensive renovation in education, the university should develop its own experience together with several solutions to perfect the curricula; empower the teaching staff; encourage lecturers to do educational research; invest more in facilities, and foster international cooperation in training to improve the teacher-training quality.
